Learn how to make iced coffee with this iced coffee recipe! We use instant coffee in this cheater-version of iced cappuccino that’s very easy to make, and very nice to drink!

Directions

Step 1

Gather all ingredients.

Step 2

Combine warm water, instant coffee, and sugar in a sealable jar. Seal and shake until foamy.

Step 3

Pour into a glass full of ice; add milk. Adjust to taste if necessary.

  • Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup ice, or as needed
  • 6 fluid ounces cold milk
  • Instructions
  • Mix the ground coffee with the water in a large container. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature for at least 12 hours or up to 24 hours.
  • Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a pitcher or other container. Pour the coffee/water mixture through the strainer, allowing all the liquid to run through. Discard the grounds.
  • Place the coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.
  • To make iced coffee, pack a glass full of ice cubes. Fill the glass 2/3 full with coffee liquid. Add a healthy splash of half-and-half. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk (you can use plain sugar instead) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.
  • Recipe Notes:
  • Try adding in different flavours like caramel syrup, mint extract, chocolate syrup, Bailey’s and more.
  • Upgrade your iced coffee by adding whipped cream and caramel drizzle
  • Make your iced coffee with crushed ice, ice cubes or large ice blocks.
  • If you’re using brewed coffee, let it chill for an hour or two before pouring it over ice.
